Now that we have all of the logistics out of the way, lets dive in to our post about the recently released 1.2 update.
As all of you are probably very aware, Camp Buddy version 1.2 was released just last week! This update contained many bug fixes and improvements to the game, which can be found in the Patch notes section of our site – please check it out for more details!
We have also had some time to take in all of your feedback, and we want to address some common issues:
I did not receive an email with the game update/my update links expired.
All patrons and owners of the game were emailed with links to the 1.2 version of the game, and the download links that were sent out expired in 7 days and are no longer active. If you still have not updated your game, please send us an email at [email protected] with a Patreon ID or purchase receipt so we can verify that you own the game. Please keep in mind that any download links we sent out will expire. Only request a new download when you are able to use the links right away please!
My game crashes when I try to load my saves from 1.1?
The 1.2 version of the game contains many bug fixes and new assets that affect the content of the game. Unfortunately, this may interfere with some of the save points you have set from the previous version of the game. Please try to load all of your saves from 1.1 so you can confirm which specific saves are causing the game to crash. You will need to remove these saves from your %appdata% folder on your computer. As much as we have looked in to this issue, these saves cannot be recovered. We apologize for the inconvenience!
The Android version of the game says “not installed”.
The Android version of the game is 2gb, so please ensure you have adequate storage on your device to install the new game. Also, please make sure you enable applications from untrusted developers in your system settings!
Some users had trouble even when they take these precautions, and some devices may react differently when you open the downloaded file from your browser vs. your system files. Please try opening from each of these locations if you are having difficulty.

The Android version of the game is stuck on the loading screen.
The game will take a while to boot up (especially for the first time). Please be patient!
My download is not finishing, or it says It is corrupted when I try to open it.
All of our downloads are distributed through a content delivery network to ensure consistent speeds for any user regardless of location. Please ensure your internet can handle large file downloads and that it will be uninterrupted during the download process. Your game will say it is corrupt if the download fails or if it is incomplete.
I can’t skip scenes in the game anymore.
Please make sure “Skip Unseen Text” is enabled. Sometimes this gets disabled when you update the game.
How do I install the update?
All you have to do is delete your old version of Camp Buddy, and download the new version! Your save data will be retained, so don’t worry about deleting it!
I hear you are looking for translators and I would like to apply.
We would like to make Camp Buddy as accessible as possible, regardless of language, however, we are not yet ready to begin translations of the game at this time. We will make a public announcement when we are ready to recruit translators!

hello when I load my game, i tried the repeat voice settings now I cant open it, it say this kind of codes and annoying traceback thingies. pls fix this

When I play on camp buddy android I have a problem that the part where you read the text. The problem is that when they are transitioning or their is a pause a black bar shows up and its very annoying.

Hi there, I know I’m late to the thread but, I’ve been playing on the Android version of the game and I’ve been having a problem with the game crashing when it comes to the animated sex scenes, I know nothing can be done right this second, I just figured you guys should know ?
I noticed that Knox is not in the list of characters page. Does that mean he won’t appear anymore in the future?
Hello. I was wondering if you guys plan on increasing the save slots? Personally, I feel that 20 is not enough. Also, any chance that you guys will animate the perfect ending sex scenes and the alternate sex scenes (like hiro and yoichi)?
Btw, just wanted to say that I loved the game. The emotional depth was surprising. I only wished that natsumi bottomed at least once (he came off kind of cocky in the sex scenes and that pissed me off) and I wished that Hunter could topped at least once.
Hello! Thank you for your feedback, and we’re glad you love the game so much! We don’t currently have plans to increase save slots past 20, but we do intend to animate the remaining sx scenes! I hope that helps!
So on the Hiro route, day 7 I believe, one of Hiro’s voiced lines has a huge volume spike. Have to take my earbuds out before getting to that point. I took a screenshot of that particular line but wasn’t sure if I’m supposed to show it here or not.

First:Do You have Future Plans For Camp Buddy After The Released of Taiga Route And Expansion Pack of Canp Buddy
Last:Do you Have Some Future Routes In Camp Buddy Like Seto Route Or Felix Route in The Main Game Etc… in The Near Future?
Hi there! We can’t announce any plans for the future yet, but we’ll let everyone know as soon as we’re ready to announce anything like new routes or a new game after Camp Buddy! For now, our main focus is Taiga route, as well as the Yoshinori Expansion pack after!
Is Mikkokun a Boy or a Girl?
Is there a difference between the PC version and Android version? I have the android version and don’t see a music player option?
Hello! The Android and PC versions of the game both contain the same content, but the Android version will not carry over your PC’s save data – you will have to beat the game again to unlock the secret gallery and the music player!
For the problem “My game crashes when I try to load my saves from 1.1?” Where is the save data in the Mac version? A Mac has no %appdata% folder like a Windows. I have searched /Applications/Camp_Buddy, /Library/Application Support, even /System/Library/Application Support, nothing is found.
Hello! Your save files on a mac should be stored in $HOME/Library/RenPy/
Please check there and see if they’re in place!
Whenever I skip the “foreplay” mode, the game crashes. I already deleted my older version and my save file is not there. It’s fine I can also redo the stuff, but the crashes is really frustrating. Any tips? I’m playing on windows 7. Thanks

I’m just eager to find out, when is the next major content update due. I get, that it’s difficult to tell, especially this early in the game’s lifespan, but I’m just as curious as the next guy to see how would a Taiga-route look like, and how would the rest of the cast react to a blooming romance between Keitaro and Taiga. I’m not asking for a concrete date, just some vague hints, like: ‘the end of summer’, or something like that. In the meantime, I’m just gonna go, and write a Christmas spinoff story, sort of a fanfiction. ^-^
Like Kevin said below, we don’t want to promise any release dates before we know for sure when they’re coming! But don’t worry, we’ll still be providing detailed updates about the progress of Taiga route and other bug fixes, so you’ll all be very aware of how the development is going! Thanks for understanding!
Baddest thing they could do. Then the same thing would be happening as when they were developing Camp Buddy as a whole, which eventually took two years or something.
The problem is when they would give vague hints, that it will result in some sort of hope they will succeed. Let’s say they announce it will be released a the end of the summer; everybody will look out for that moment, the end of the summer arrives and then – nothing. They make an announcement the publishing will be delayed and that’s okay, people just start to look out for the next date, but then again – nothing. The publishing is delayed again. And for all we know they can delay it as much as they can, just because reasons (maybe some unknown difficulties, maybe to get more money, who knows).
Problem is people will eventually start losing interest or they’ll stop believing it. So, dropping vague hints is really a no-go. Just wait until they release some more news 😉

2 problems. 1) The “skip unseen text” botton is skipping all the text (seen and unseen). 2) I find a lot of the time the text (and game but I see it more with the text) is stopping part way, thinking then loads the rest. Unless I have it on the fastest text it keeps happening.
Only other bug is with the sex mini game skip botton. Can’t click it (I don’t mind. It slows it down so for the 2 paths I completed and 1 I’m about to I can save the spots I want).
You can skip a dialogue once you’ve seen it and The Purpose of the skip unseen button is to skip the unseen part only so in retrospect, it will skip all of them both seen and unseen
Hi Ellerwind! Like Joshy said, when clicked, the “Skip Unseen Text” will skip both seen and unseen text when the skip button is pressed, so that is an intentional function!
As for the foreplay minigame skip button, what system are you playing on? PC, Mac or Android? This feature should work, but we’ll definitely look into it and see if we can fix it if you provide us some more details!
